Baby and Toddler Classes

What can I expect?

Expect lots of exciting, quality resources to keep your little ones busy! The session begins with a teacher-led engaging story session and then it's time to explore a variety of sensory areas that are linked to the story, in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. From travelling to the moon with baby bear to exploring the jungle with Gerald the giraffe, each week there will be a different book and a diverse range of activities to maintain your child's interest.

Please be aware that there is an element of messy play within the sessions so please dress your child with this in mind. I will let parents know the theme of the session and the messy play content in advance.

An important part of developing early reading is to improve children's communication skills by creating a language-rich environment. By immersing children in story language they are exposed to a variety of new vocabulary. Reading also stimulates a child's imagination and expands their understanding of the world around them. By attending a Sensory Stories class your child will be supported in developing these skills as well as acquiring other skills such as empathy and problem-solving. The aim of Sensory Stories is to engage children with books from a young age and promote a life-long love of reading.
